Warp Contract Develops Bot To Help Projects Boost Community Engagement On Discord

Warpy, a bot built to boost engagement in the Web3 space on Discord through a Points System that is domiciled on-chain has been launched by developer tooling protocol, Warp Contracts.
Warp Contract stated that Warpy is transparent by allowing the calculation of points to be verifiable, while being on-chain makes the technology accessible to everyone. Low storage cost also makes it easy to scale because Arweave operates a pay-once model.
Warpy leverages the Warp SDK to store information such as user tasks, point calculations and points system on the Arweave ecosystem.
“Our vision for Warpy is a go-to Points System SDK for any web3-focused server,” Warp Contract said, calling projects to contact it to integrate the bot.
The bot works using two major contracts, the main bot contract and the Server contract. The main bot contract manages events, uses the Warp SDK, communicates with the Warp Sequencer and interacts with Irys, which facilitates seamless storage on Arweave. The Server Contract handles server registrations, deploying bot contracts and linking Discord servers with contract IDs and maintaining interaction continuity.

Discord, an instant messaging and VoIP social platform which has over 9.5 million users is popular among technology savvy people. Many Web3 projects maintain Discord channels to engage their communities. Warpy is aiming to help projects manage points system better with blockchain technology. Active contributors to projects who have gained points on Discord can exchange points for community rewards.
Reported to be inspired by NFT platforms and remodeled for application to DeFi protocols, Points System are gradually being adopted by projects. Some projects in the Solana ecosystem are adopting the Points System.
Warpy is already being used by RedStone, Warp Contracts’ parent company for its RedStone Gems incentive programme. RedStone Gems are an on-chain points system with elements such as users’ task history, points calculations and the verifiability of the RedStone Oracles Points System are fully stored on the Arweave blockchain through Warp SDK.

Users can view details of their points through both the Smartweave explorer and Discord and this is possible through Warpy leveraging the Warp SDK, RedStone stated.
Drawing from results of the Beta testing of Warpy in the RedStone community where 8,127 transactions were recorded, Warp Contracts believes the bot will perform well. It said future updates to Warpy will integrate OpenAI’s API.
“We aim to integrate OpenAI's API to enhance message sentiment and value assessments. This will further ensure points are awarded for genuine, valuable community contributions, bolstering sybil-resistance,” it stated.
