Meson’s 100k Nodes To Power Arbitrum’s RPC Services

A hundred thousand decentralised nodes on Meson Network have combined strength to power high-availability Arbitrum’s decentralisation RPC service, Meson announced on Thursday that the integration will help Arbitrum be more decentralised, increase speed and data privacy.

On Arbitrum, remote procedure calls or RPC enables the blockchain to connect to MetaMask’s wallet infrastructure. The connection makes MetaMask wallet features available to Arbitrum chain users.

Arbitrum, like every other Ethereum layer two was created to scale up the latter, that is infamous for being slow and expensive in gas fees. While Ethereum does 14 transactions per second, Arbitrum processes 40,000 transactions per second.

Meson’s integration with Arbitrum provides a solution to the challenge of congestion in Web3 within the RPC node clusters during surges of requests and disruptions to API services.

Meson, which uses Arweave for storage, said it is solving the problem by introducing a highly distributed RPC network, further stating that this has resulted in a tangible boost in stability, reliability and enhanced performance for both end users and applications.

“This network excels at assessing and efficiently distributing requests based on latency and synchronization status, effectively distributing the RPC request load across the entire network,” Meson Network said.

The network noted that the uniqueness of its service is that its nodes are fully decentralised, which acts as ‘highly anonymous servers for RPC services’, preventing the risk of single point of failure and increasing user privacy.
