Arkreen, a project which operates in the renewable energy decentralized physical infrastructure space has announced a partnership with Peac and Penomo to increase the capacity of projects in the latter’s ecosystem in the area of energy data and revenue streams.

Arkreen’s move to partner with the projects is predicated on the idea that large green energy companies are growing more competitive, leaving small businesses and private infrastructure to struggle with being underused and revenue streams.

“Part of the challenge is monitoring energy capacities and putting them to good use, which needs a common data space,” Peaq stated in a post announcing the partnership.

Energy assets of Businesses and houses can be fitted with devices that monitor their activities and issue renewable energy certificates. The certificate which confirms the production and supply of specific amounts of green energy can traded and also work as carbon credit who can be sold.

Arkreen is expanding to Peaq’s ecosystem to enable DePIN projects certify the activity of their energy data assets, boost their monetization efforts and facilitate new revenue streams for projects and energy asset owners.

The Head of Product and Partnership at Arkreen said Web3 has a lot of tools to offer to the sustainable energy sector and we’re looking forward to exploring this further together.

“We see a lot of potential integrations in the current stack of projects building on Peaq and look forward to its further growth,” Garba said.

On the partnership between Arkreen and Penomo which is also part of the Peaq ecosystem will be working on a proof-of-concept project with batteries and solar panels. While Penomo will tokenize the batteries, Arkreen will aggregate the data and facilitate its use.

Arkreen stores its data on the Arweave Network. Arweave’s permanent storage system aligns well with Arkreen Network’s green and sustainable data objectives due to its decentralized nature, long-term data preservation capabilities, affordability, and support for transparency. By leveraging Arweave, Arkreen Network can not only store its data securely but also contribute to a greener and more sustainable future hence aiding carbon reduction applications.

Till Wendler, co-founder of Peaq affirmed that project was thrilled to see Arkreen step into the ecosystem because being a data platform for green energy projects, it will add value to projects building in the ecosystem.

“Sustainability is one of the core values for the peaq ecosystem and it’s one that is very much shared with Arkreen,” Wendler said.
