Evmos partners with RedStone Finance

RedStone Finance – the Arweave utilising Web3 cross-chain oracle and smart contract SDK project – has just announced that it has partnered with EvmosEvmos is a scalable and interoperable Ethereum blockchain, built on Proof-of-Stake with fast-finality.

Now, as a result of the partnership, the Evmos ecosystem of projects and developers will be able to utilise the cutting-edge oracle solution that is RedStone.

Let’s take a closer look at Evmos and RedStone Finance, as well as look at what the partnership can achieve.

What exactly is Evmos?

Evmos is a high-throughput Proof-of-Stake blockchain and the first EVM-based Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) compatible protocol that leverages the Cosmos SDK (which runs on top of Tendermint Core consensus engine). It brings the world of Ethereum Layer-1 blockchain based applications (and assets) to the interoperable networks of the Cosmos ecosystem allowing developers to have all the features of the Ethereum blockchain, while benefiting from Tendermint’s PoS implementation.

Some of the key features of Evmos are:

  • Web3 and EVM compatibility
  • High throughput via Tendermint Core
  • Horizontal scalability via IBC
  • Fast transaction finality

The above means that devs can easily deploy smart contracts which interact with the rest of the Cosmos ecosystem.

RedStone integration

RedStone provides an oracle solution which delivers a wide range of data feeds from the crypto sphere, including cryptocurrencies and NFTs. RedStone provides highly customisable DeFi data streams that are delivered quickly, reliably and cost-efficiently. By offering custom data feeds, the specific needs of each project can be adequately met.

RedStone now enables the Evmos ecosystem of developers and projects to take advantage of this cutting-edge Oracle solution and all the benefits that come with using it.

As RedStone say in their blog post about the partnership:

Non-standard data is our specialty and we want the Evmos builders to leverage it to the fullest.

The RedStone team is constantly making improvements to the Oracle’s architecture. But this is not the only thing they have been working on.

RedStone takes security very seriously. With all the hacks taking place recently in the crypto space, having a water tight protocol is key to succeeding long term. This is why recently RedStone announced they were starting a new mini-series about important Oracle Hacks and Manipulations, in order to raise awareness of the methods used by exploiters and hackers to manipulate the affected Web3 protocols.

You can read all about that in our article “Fighting Web3 Hacks With RedStone” here.

Helping other developers understand hacks in order to not repeat history is not the only way they are educating others. RedStone also has Warp Academy (previously known as RedStone Academy). This is a portal to teach people how to develop on the Permaweb and deploy their first smart contract to the blockchain – using their SmartWeave Contracts SDK, as well as other valuable tools.
