Arwiki is Quietly Crushing It. Here’s What’s New

ArWiki is a knowledge base on-chain protocol that has a governance mechanism through an Arweave-Based DAO. It is a great source of knowledge to learn more about the permaweb and technology invented by the Arweave team.

ArWiki offers information about Arweave for readers all over the world as it provides support in 11 languages – English, Arabic, German, Spanish, Irish, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Hungarian, Chinese, and Korean.

You can easily navigate the page to find information on mining, developer resources, profit sharing community mechanics and Arweave basics.

This September it released a series of protocol and platform upgrades.

More options for users and moderators

With the new updates it is easier for moderators and users to keep ArWiki clean and useful. Users can submit updates for articles in the form of a transaction to Arweave without needing to make a profile. All that’s needed is an Arweave wallet with some balance. Isn’t this a great web3 feature?

It is also easier for moderators as they have a simple panel where they can see the list of pending articles, as well as approve and reject edits. The new update is allowing moderators to:

  • Approve new articles
  • Approve user-submitted updates
  • Pin articles to the front page
  • Hide articles from the frontend level through “deletion” TXs
  • Add news tags to articles to improve search results

The $WIKI Token

ArWiki has a Profit Sharing Token (PST) called $WIKI. To use the moderator permissions one is required to have $WIKI tokens and stake in the DAO to be able to act.

The token allows any $WIKI holder to benefit from sponsoring the page and earning rewards.

To get involved with the community you need to connect your Arweave wallet and submit edits or a new article and earn some $WIKI.
